Current Abilities
I am able to adequately use all computer processing programs. I have knowledge using smart boards and other new technology.
Need
I need to develop my knowledge with new and upcoming technology that is available free on the internet to help advance my classroom environment.
Goal
My goal is to try out 5 of the free websites presented in class in order to see which ones would be most beneficial for my classroom.
Short Term Plan
During class take note of all free websites Dr. Cullen presents us with. Every Friday play around with a new technology presented in class to see if it would be something I was interested in using in the future.
Long Term Plan
My long term plan is to gather knowledge throughout the semester on the different resources available to me and choose 5 to become proficient at that I believe would be the most beneficial to use in my classroom. Using these five selected programs, I will create a folder of lessons for all the core subjects in order to have back-up lessons in my classroom.
Assessment
Create lessons and assessments in these new programs and make sure they have the ability to transfer for years to come. I have lists and lessons made that I can use regularly that will be timeless regardless of the year I am teaching.
