Smartboard- I found the Smartboard project very useful because it gave me exposure to a technology component that I was very apprehensive about. I would use the Smartboard the most in centers in my classroom because only so many people can work on it at a time. By using centers the whole class will get the benefits of the lesson and exposure to the Smartboard.
NEATO- I thought the NEATO lab was very interesting because it allowed me to play with gadgets that I would most likely not be exposed to. I think I would use the handheld camera the most in my classroom because it seems like something the kids would be excited to work with. Having them take pictures can be an awesome way for them to illustrate their work.
Podcast- I really was apprehensive about doing the podcast at first because I do not like the sound of my voice. I think this could be very beneficial in the classroom because you can record messages for parents. Especially if a student has a visual impairment, this is a great way to reach them.
IMovie- I liked using IMovie in class because it was simple and straightforward to work with. I think this could be a beneficial tool to use with older grades because it would allow them to creatively express themselves. I would not do this with young children unless there was an adult assigned to each group to work the camera.
Kidspiration-I think Kidspiration is a very useful tool for students to organize their thoughts. I never knew there was a math component to the website and I think that students could really benefit from that. I would use this by having students make diagrams or problems and have this be the final piece of work.
